Baked with LOVE
When I was growing up, food was huge part of our family time together. I learned at a young age that my mom bakes with a passion and cooks with love, from scratch. All of the women in my family know their way around the kitchen, and it was that foundation of food that I took an early fondness to.
I began my own kitchen trials in college (and I say trials, because as I was experimenting, there were some victories and there were some losses). When I moved away from home, I struggled with not having access to Mom’s home cooked meals, so it was in the dorms when I started making many phone calls home for recipes! I started feeling that it was now my time to really find my way around the kitchen. Now, I’m in my early 30’s, and cooking & baking have turned into true passions of mine, and because of that I am here to share delicious food and you-can-do recipes!
When I first began cooking, I was cooking for one, just me. But, growing up in a large family, naturally our recipes always yielded enough for a crowd! Therefore, I also had to learn how to cut those down. For the past 4 years, I’ve been cooking for two 🙂 and my amazing husband couldn’t be more supportive! He doesn’t always love cleaning up the messes I tend to make in the kitchen (hehe), but his eagerness and willingness to try anything and everything, keeps me going and pushes me to always try new recipes!
As for my career, I’m quickly approaching a decade working in the Fashion industry. I have a background in fabrics, apparel production, and even since I was young (and getting in trouble for cutting up a new pair of jeans), I’ve always had a passion for fashion! Not to mention, I have a serious shoe fetish! but then again, what woman doesn’t love a sexy pair of shoes! I’m excited to share fashion and fashion tips!
As a working woman, weeks are busy and months fly by. I’m here to demonstrate that cooking and baking do not have to be complicated and time-consuming, it can be fun, and at the end of it, you get to eat! That’s pretty much all of the motivation I need 😉
You can’t go wrong with stilettos & a cupcake!
